1. Skillmatrix
The skills matrix gives you an overview of your team's knowledge and skills. It helps you to recognize which skills are available and where there are gaps.
How?
Summarize the information from the T-profiles of your team members in the skills matrix. Enter the relevant knowledge and skills in the "Required knowledge" and "Team members" columns. Note the consequences under "Conclusions", especially if a field is left blank.
Tips:
- Be detailed and specific when listing the knowledge required.
- Discuss the skills matrix in the team to ensure that all relevant skills are covered.
- Use the matrix to plan targeted training measures or the recruitment of new team members
2. Team HBDI®-Model, Conclusions & Measures
The HBDI® model shows the thinking styles of the team members and helps to understand the synergies and potential areas of conflict within the team.
How?
Copy the HBDI® models of all team members into the given HBDI® model. Analyze the team profile to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the team. Record the conclusion of the merged HBDI® models of the individual team members and derive conclusions. Are there strengths/weaknesses in your team?
Tips:
- Pay attention to a balanced distribution of thinking styles to ensure a variety of perspectives.
- Discuss the results in the team to avoid misunderstandings and promote cooperation.
3. Action Plan
The action plan helps you to take targeted measures to bring missing knowledge into the team and strengthen existing skills.
How?
Using the findings from the skills matrix and the Team HBDI® model, create a detailed plan for how you can bring missing knowledge into the team. This can be done through training, workshops, external consultants or new team members.
Tips:
- Prioritize the most important knowledge gaps and develop concrete measures to close them.
- Set realistic time frames and responsibilities for implementing the measures.
4. Ensure Communication
Good communication is crucial for the success of a team. It helps to avoid misunderstandings and improve collaboration.
How?
Develop strategies to ensure effective communication within the team. This can be done through regular meetings, clear and defined communication channels and feedback loops.
Tips:
- Use tools such as Microsoft Teams or Trello to organize communication.
- Agree fixed meeting times and clear agenda items to communicate efficiently.
5. Team Organization and Role Allocation
Clear roles and responsibilities are important to maximize the efficiency and productivity of the team. Thanks to clearly defined roles, each team member knows their area of responsibility.
How?
Define who takes on which role in the team and how the tasks are distributed. Take into account the strengths and weaknesses of the team members.
Tips:
- Create a role and task overview that is accessible to all team members.
- Regularly check the distribution of roles and adjust them if necessary
